Guest Mix DJ for The Saturday Sessions on www.radiosa.co.uk with the SpinSta (Leigh Steven-Jennings) Saturday evenings 7pm – 10pm His own promotion Decorum @ various venues across London. Rene was resident at The Boiler Rooms in Doncaster from 2004 - 2006 where he worked full time as the Promotions Manager. However, he wanted to dedicate his time to being a full time DJ and further develop his music style and career and took up the offer of resident for Electrocute at The Warehouse in Leeds along side one of the UK’s finest and DTPM’s Guy Williams. However due to a company take over Electrocute was axed. It didn’t however take long for Leeds most prestigious promotion, Glasshouse to pick up on Rene where he went on to enjoy a great year with them as resident DJ and Tour Manager looking after 4 events around the UK. Whilst there, as well as Glasshouse being voted Leeds Best Club Night in the Leeds Bar & Club Awards 2007 Rene was nominated for the Leeds Best DJ category and later went on to win the Leeds247 Choice Award as Leeds Best DJ as voted for by the clubbers. Both credits we think to his passion and drive for the industry as a whole. During a period of down time for Glasshouse in late 2007, Rene was invited to play for one of the worlds biggest club promotions brands Gatecrasher at their newly refurbished Gatecrasher7 in Leeds where he now resides along side Funk Junkies & John Crayford. You might also like to know that back in November 2006 Rene was asked to step in for John Pleased Wimmin for Cream Classics @ Northern Light. But that comes as no surprise to us when he is regularly booked to play along side other top UK and international djs, here’s just a few: Richard Dinsdale Pete Gooding DJ Gee (Bora Bora) - We played B2B Chris Lake of “Changes” fame Cris Coco (Radio1) Tom Neville Yousef MYNC Project Fedde Le Grand + many many more! Rene’s passion for music pushes him to further develop into a full time DJ, Producer and Radio Presenter having completed his studies in Dance Music Production & Studio Techniques back in 2003. Rene has worked a total of 10yrs in the industry now, not many can lay claim to that length of time but it has seen him forward his career into those areas. Having just returned from Egypt on a 3 month residency with Ministry of Sound & Hed Kandi you can now find Rene residing with Gatecrasher in Leeds, LoveBug, W.T.F and his own promotion RacKet with girlfriend DJ Mel-Low D. Rene is also in the process of setting up his own label RacKet Records which is looking set to blast onto the scene with its first release expected in summer 20010.
